Friends, we’ve played with some really cool colors for this abstract painting and we just love how great they look together. If you’re gonna try this at home, please note that the acrylic paint was previously mixed with water, floetrol, and a few drops of silicone fluid. Here are the exact proportions:
1 oz of acrylic paint
1 oz of floetrol
0.5 oz of water
A few drops (4-5) of silicone fluid
We coated the canvas with a layer of black acrylic paint, also prepped with floetrol and water, then mixed the colors in two different cups. After pouring the paint, we handled the canvas, then heated the painting with a blow torch in order to form the cells. Since we were going for a space result, and many of you have recommended adding some white spots, we’ve also splashed some white paint at the end. We love how this went, what do you think?
