We got our hands on a huge, beautiful ostrich egg and obviously, used it in one of our acrylic pouring projects. We joked around on how this may be a dragon egg, but in the final result, if you look closely, you can spot the face of a dragon. Friends, if you’re gonna try this at home, please note that the acrylic paint we used in this video was previously mixed with water and floetrol. Here are the exact proportions:
1 oz of acrylic paint
1 oz of floetrol
0.5 oz of water
First, we covered the canvas with a black base, made from black acrylic paint, also prepped with floetrol and water. Then, we poured the colors in a cup, fixed the egg on the canvas, and poured the acrylic paint on it. In the end, we not only got a beautiful painting, but also a beautifully colored ostrich egg.
