Here’s another one of our acrylic pouring projects that came out great. We chose colors associated to the northern lights, and we feel this looks a lot like the Aurora Borealis on the night sky. Watch the satisfying video until the end and let us know what you think!
Friends, if you’re gonna try this at home, please note that the acrylic paint we used was previously mixed with water and floetrol. Here are the proportions:
1 oz of acrylic paint
1 oz of floetrol
0.5 oz of water
First, we coated the canvas with a black base – made from black acrylic paint, also prepped with floetrol and water. We pulled up the colors into a syringe, poured them, and handled the canvas.At the end, we heated the painting with a blow torch to form cells within the colored paint and to break the air bubbles that were formed in the process.
