We must say we weren’t expecting for this experiment to have such a cool outcome. We made this abstract painting by acrylic pouring, but instead of mixing the paint in a cup as we usually do, we’ve drawn these beautiful colors into a syringe, then poured them on a canvas. Friends, last time we made a fluid painting using a syringe, we poured the acrylic paint into it, then poured the mix on the canvas. This time, we’ve drawn the paint into it, which was definitely a better choice. If you’re gonna try this, please note that the acrylic paint was previously mixed with water, floetrol and silicone fluid. Here are the exact proportions:
1 oz of acrylic paint
1 oz of floetrol
0.5 oz of water
A few drops (4-5) of silicone fluid
First, we coated the canvas with a white base, made from acrylic white paint also mixed with floetrol and water. Than, as you’ll see in the video, we’ve drawn the colors into the syringe and poured them on the canvas. After handling the canvas, we’ve sprayed the painting with a silicone spray, then used a blow torch in order to form the cells. We’re so happy with the result, hope you’ll enjoy it too!
