Here’s another cute acrylic abstract painting we made using the string pull technique. Read the whole description for more info, and watch the video until the end to see the wonderful result. What do you think it looks like? We were going for a green leaf, did we nail it?
Friends, this painting was made using acrylic paint (mixed with floetrol and water*) and a few pieces of cotton rope (4 mm). First, we covered the stretched canvas with a layer of white acrylic paint (also prepped with water and floetrol), then we poured the colors on the side, near the canvas. Afterwards, we dipped the pieces of cotton rope in the paint, placed them on the canvas, and started pulling some strings ;).
*Regarding the paint/floetrol/water mix, here are the exact proportions:
1 oz of acrylic paint
1 oz of floetrol
0.5 oz of water
