Here’s another fun acrylic pouring project! What do you think the final painting looks like? We think it resembles a comet, do you agree? Watch the satisfying video until the end to see the result and read the whole description for more details.

If you’re gonna try this at home, please note that the acrylic paint we used in this fluid art project was previously mixed with floetrol, water and a few drops of silicone fluid. Here are the exact proportions:
1 oz of acrylic paint
1 oz of floetrol
0.5 oz of water
A few drops (4-5) of silicone fluid

First, we coated the canvas with a white base made from white acrylic paint, also prepped with floetrol and water, for the colors to slide better. Then, we mixed some of the colors for the background in a cup, and poured them on the canvas. After handling the canvas a little, for the extra paint to slide off, we used a palette knife to mix them and spread them on the canvas. For the comet, we used yellow and red, then used a small blowtorch to form the cells within the paint.

Maybe we should have also used a bit of white on the comet? What do you think?
