Here’s our latest acrylic string pull experiment, that did not really come out as we hoped, but still looks pretty. Red and black is always a great combo! Watch the satisfying acrylic pouring video and let us know what you think.

Friends, when it comes to acrylic string pull, there are 2 things you should know: 1. you must be very very very careful, as it’s really easy to mess everything up. (notice the red drops 😂). 2. The paint is prepped the same as for acrylic pouring, because it needs to easily slide on the canvas, with floetrol and water. The proportions are:
1 oz of acrylic paint
1 oz of floetrol
0.5 oz of water

The white base is white acrylic paint, also prepped with floetrol and water, and the string is cotton twine. We were hoping to make a heart, but it came out as … what do you think? A butterfly? An angel? We’ll keep trying and hopefully get it right the next time. We know that many of you have been experimenting with acrylic pouring and string pull, and aren’t very happy with the results.
