Since many of you have asked, here’s a close up video on how to form the cells while pouring. This time we used a syringe and the acrylic pouring swipe technique, to make some pretty, pretty cells. Watch the satisfying video and let us know what you think!

Friends, if you’re gonna try this at home, please note that the acrylic paint we used for this project was previously mixed with floetrol, silicone fluid, and water. Here are the proportions:
1 oz of acrylic paint
1 oz of floetrol
0.5 oz of water
4-5 drops of silicone fluid.

First, we poured the colors into a small syringe. Then, we added some black paint on 1/4 of the canvas, and added the colors using the syringe. With a piece of paper, we pulled up the paint on the canvas, so that the black paint covered the colors. Then, we heated the paint with a blow torch, and formed cells within the black paint, revealing the pretty colors underneath it.
