Hello everyone! It’s Aishah here, in this landscape watercolor painting tutorial for beginners I will show you how to paint a rainy misty forest step by step. Watercolor misty forest can be a bit intimidating to try, especially when you see a final result. But in this tutorial, I broke the steps down in really easy steps.

Overall there are three main steps; The gradient in the background. Painting the trees in different colors, and as you paint blending them down using a clean damp brush.

All of my materials are from Winsor & Newton except for Lamp Black which is from holbein, and the big flat brush.

Paper: Winsor & Newton 100% Cotton Cold Pressed Paper
Cobalt Turquoise, Phthalo Turquoise
Round brush size 12
Rigger brush size 2
Large flat brush
White Gouache – Royal Langnickel
