We love the Suncatchers. My grandchildren had a great time doing them and were pleased with their work. The product is VERY misleading as it says that it makes 20 projects. I was expecting 20 window art suncatchers as it says window art. There are ONLY 12 Suncatchers. Only after completing the suncatchers and cleaning up did we realize that there is a SMALL acetate sheet that you can use to create peel & stick window art. The acetate sheet is only large enough to complete 2 peel & stick therefore that is still only 14 projects that could be completed Not the 20 it claims. The acetate sheet was thrown away prior to our discovering its use. Had this project been for more children I would have been totally disappointed as there would not have been enough suncatchers. I was glad I had not counted on using it for a school class or birthday party as there would have been some very disappointed children. You will enjoy this product if this is what you are expecting.
My daughter is 4 and enjoys working on the various frames. Some holes are tiny and are easily overfilled. They are actually very forgiving when kids overfill the frames. As the adult, mine looked the best when it was wet but the kids' messier ones actually looked brighter and had more colour when they dried. At 1st glance, the pink tube looks like it is a pastel pink but don't judge too soon, the glitter will show up when dried. I wished they had bigger tubes for the green pink and orange. Kids naturally love the brighter colours and those get used more.If you don't want to work on the suncatchers or had use them all up, it is amazing how simple it is to make more patterns with the clear sheet and templates. Use the black glue, draw out a shape and let it dry. Your child can fill it it and once it is dried, u can peel it off and stick it on a window like a decal.Good price as it goes a long way. It is fun for both the supervising adult and child!
We bought two packs so we could give one to a friend for her birthday. I enjoyed doing this as much as my 5 year old daughter. It was a lot of fun. The only thing I wish was different was better control from the little squeeze bottle pens. The consistency of some of the paint colors was different so green and orange (for me) would come flooding out of the tube with one small push and was hard to fill in small spots like the word "Peace" that disappeared in the paint. Overall, still not bad for the price, it was still worth it. I liked that we can also make our own window clings too!======UPDATE: My concerns about the excess paint has been proven wrong. It's the next morning and the paint seems to have melted in and dried perfectly so I can see all the black borders of each window art. See attached picture! I think they all look beautiful. I just ordered 2 more boxes to give as gifts to family.
