My painting is very much a matter of color and depth and mixing paints is necessary for varied pigments. I can’t afford to buy pigments in a multitude of colors but I can mix pigment to get as many hues as I need. This paint palette has varied sizes and the number of compartments is more than enough to create the perfect masterpiece. After you are done with your work for the day, clean up is a breeze.Just run the palette under warm water, soap up a bit and then rinse clean.Once dry, the palette is ready to help you achieve your artists fancy. She is always mixing paints on random things and thought this might stop the mixing on household objects madness.Feels like abs plastic and out of the package has a very shiny slippery surface. Clean up of paints is easy but the plastic will stain.The thumb hole does have a rough cut edge on the underside edge and isn't horribly comfortable. Doesn't matter for her because she uses it on her table, but run a piece of duct tape around the thumb hole if you are going to hold it when painting. ★★★★★ I ordered these palettes for painting miniatures and they work great.
