Here’s another lava acrylic pouring project we made, this time using a funnel. We used a combination of red, orange, yellow, white, and black and we believe the final result looks a lot like lava. Watch the satisfying video until the end to see the final painting and tell us if you agree!
Friends, instead of mixing the colors in a cup, we used a funnel. If you’re gonna try this at home, please note that the acrylic paint was previously mixed with water, floetrol and silicone fluid. Here are the proportions:
1 oz of acrylic paint
1 oz of floetrol
0.5 oz of water
First, we coated the canvas with a black base – which was made from black acrylic paint, also prepped with water, floetrol and silicone fluid. We poured the colors in the funnel, while covering the hole, then released the paint on the canvas in a spiral shape. After handling the canvas, we heated it with a blow torch to form the cells within the paint. What do you think?
