  1. Just wanted to let you know that I love this painting and tutorial. I have watched it at least 10 times over the last several months!!
You really do show how to create depth and up close in this short painting time. I have watched your other videos and for some reason I keep coming back to this one. It looks easy but shows so much. Would like to see you paint more like this one. Maybe some with houses/barns, fences, pond etc. Keep up the great tutorials.
    Happy Painting! ?????

  2. You are a fantastic teacher. I just started painting and done few really good jobs, appreciated very well by my family and friends. One quick question- you use a lot of this "old square headed brush"- now where can I find it or make a brush like that. It sure is very practical!!

  3. i would be so happy if we used the same paint and this is one of my favorite paintings you have ever done and i learnd all lot and sorry fo being curios about the paint thing?

  4. i think i know what paint you use ,you use "pēbēo " because i have watched allmost all your video's and the titanium white, burnt umber, burnt sienna, primary yellow, mars black, transparent vermillon , primary cyan is all the pēbēo paint and i have one at home too

  5. i really love the way you express yourself with much care for the exact word or expression. someone literate at last! delightful!

  6. Hi Ryan – I just love your work! One question – do you use a pencil of waterproof pen for your initial drawing? Thanks so much for your wonderful videos!

  7. Thank you! I tried this tutorial and am very pleased with the results! Thanks for sharing!

  8. another awesome painting.. always enjoy watching your lessons, thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful talent.Cheers Mel..

  9. Thank you very much for your reply Ryan , I will pop out and get a canvas i understand now why any painting i did on the paper looked flat and rubbish. better to not waste my paints 🙂 .. but thank you for your reply x

  10. I'm so glad I found this channel! I don't paint all the tutorials, but I always feel inspired to paint by them and I look forward to watching the new ones. lol, then I go on a binge and watch 5+ more of the old ones just because I can't stop…..

  11. I've watched one video after another since discovering you! Watching
your videos gave me the courage to actually put some paint on the canvas
for the first time. So far, I like what I'm seeing. I'm painting a
light-being (some may call this an angel) with a background of stars.
I'd love to see your interpretation of such a being.

Currently, I'm using the Liquitex Basic paints, but I'm thinking of purchasing the heavy body paints for added pigmentation and lightfastness. I'd also
love to figure out which medium I could mix those paints with in order to slow the drying time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Have you any experience with Joe's Prime Really Good Lightfast Acrylics? They are a really inexpensive, medium-grade paint but I'm hesitant to try them.

Also, when you're working on a larger piece, do you mix your paints fresh each time or do you store them? I'm wondering if a wet palette is a necessity. So far, I've been able to mix colors during later painting sessions which match the original, but it can be a little time consuming.

  12. Quelles marques d'acryliques utilisez-vous ?

What brands of acrylics do you use?

  13. I like when you add the extra bit at the end. Small finishing details definitely complete a painting.

  14. Nice little painting , the change of the tree at the end was a good move! By the way: you said it only three times today 🙂
